March is right around the corner promising high pressure with blue sky’s and cool temps. The Bull Redfish fly fishing during March has been one of my favorite months in Louisiana. The redfish are very comfortable on their daily search for food which is abundant this time of year. They are tailing and commonly spotted…
Well this October here in Louisiana got off to a rough start with unseasonably warm temps but things are on track now. The schools of Bull Redfish have moved into the marsh allowing Fly Fisherman the opportunity to sight fish them with ease. The last few weeks of October were awesome! The waters have cleared…
Fall 2018 is almost upon us with cool weather and floating Bull Redfish just around the corner. The Louisiana marsh has long been known as the location for multiple shots at Redfish over 30 pounds. Fly Fishing this destination does not disappoint on the angling side of things or the evening life. New Orleans is…

Happy Holiday’s everyone! A few more day’s left in Dec now and then the New Year! This fall and winter has been one for the books to say the least. The weather patterns have been more the way they should be after a few seasons of unseasonably warm temps. The Redfish seem to be happy…

After a warm start to October we have had some very cool temps for the last 10 day’s and Redfish Sight Fishing in Louisiana has once again come into it’s own. New Orleans will be the premier Redfish Sight Fishery for fly anglers this fall and winter. The White and Pink shrimp, Mullet, Bull Minnows,…

This was a trip I took in mid April last season. Â We were blessed with blue sky’s and no wind. Â The Louisiana Redfish were tailing very well everywhere we stopped to pole the skiff. Â The marsh waters remained clear until late April allowing for some great sight fishing. Â Late April marks the end of our…
