June in Apalachicola in 2015 proved to be an awesome month of Fly Fishing for Tarpon. Â We started out with beautiful weather throughout most of the day’s. Â A bit of wind out of the southeast had the water a slightly turbid which can help greatly in feeding Tarpon. Â Being a Fly Fishing Guide hear in Apalachicola for these Tarpon when the bite turns on is awesome! Â Lot’s of hookups each day can be a regular event. This month was no exception we launched fish after fish. Â The wind has died and the Gulf of Mexico water’s have cleared to an emerald green making spotting these fish very easy. Â We have battled with some afternoon thunderstorms the last 4 or 5 day’s but have been able to feed quite a few fish in the morning to early afternoon hours. Â Really looking forward to the rest of the Panhandle Tarpon season!
